New Term 2015

Welcome to all our new students and their parents joining us this year.
Daniel Connolly, Niamh Connolly, Fionn Healy, Eoin Kelly, Oran Wheeler & Liam O'Brien.

We want to wish every success to the 6th class students who are beginning secondary school.  We look forward to seeing them visiting us in the future.
Congraatulations to all our past pupils on their junior and leaving cert results.  We wish them every success for their future plans.

We welcome Ms.Higgings to our staff.  She is teaching 2nd, 3rd and 4th class.

The school was very lucky to recieve a grant as part of the Summer Works SchemeThe work took place over the holidays and we are delighted with the water drainage, reseeding and resurfacing of the front yard.  This will help greatly with drainage and the overall appearance of our school.

Please note the date for Communion this year has been arranged for Sunday May the 15th.

Swimming will take place after Christmas this year.

We wish every happiness and good wishes to Ms. Fallon on her wedding day.

The army visited our school to present the National flag to us.  Rachel Murray & Tom Óg Reddington helped to read out a section of the Proclamation of Independence.  Along with all other schools in the country, we will raise the flag on March 16th 2016 to commemorate the centenary of the 1916  Rising.

3 boys & 3 girls from 5th  & 6th class were picked to represet the school and county in a display of football skills.  Thanks to Jim and Mattie for bringing them to Ballyhaunis.

A guest speaker spoke to the children about road safety.  Most of the older children were surprised that they still need a booster seat and that drivers could recieve 3 penalty points if caught without it.

The children put in a great effort to make signs and banners for the county final between St Ciarans and Glaveys.  Hard luck Fuerty.
